About

Phoebe Rose Lines wrote her first children’s picture book when she was twelve years old. It was particularly exciting because it was hand-stapled and only used half a roll of sticky tape. After 15 years performing, running festivals and writing for arts organisations, Phoebe started writing children’s books again once she became a parent, and this time there was only a tiny bit of sticky tape involved.Phoebe is based between Bundjalung Country in Northern NSW, and Wurundjeri Country in Victoria’s Yarra Valley, which are both really special places, and inspire lots of her work. Phoebe loves the enchantment of the imagination, and language, and how picture books make the best stories of all. Phoebe believes there should be more picture books made for adults, because picture books make magic happen in hearts and minds across the globe.Phoebe also writes and performs on the mythic, deep ecology, and faeritales for adults; and runs writing workshops and retreats at www.mythicamedicina.com
